Kernow Designs creates beautiful, high quality, hand dyed yarns & hand woven accessories in Rural Cornwall.
I pride myself on top quality products and truly excellent customer service.
I believe in giving nothing but the best, both in customer service, and the items that I create.
You can choose from many different yarn bases, which include the softest Cashmere Merino Silk right through to Pima Cotton and Premium Acrylics for those of you who prefer not to have real wool.
I can hand dye yarn to any colourway you wish, either to send the skein out to you, or to weave a beautiful wrap or scarf for you.
Absolutely stunning colours and most definitely made with love! Highly recommended
I'm Karen, and I'm the creative mind behind Kernow Designs.
I am 47 years old. I took a long career break to raise my young family.⠀Two are now grown & living away from home & one is in college.⠀Another two are in high school.⠀
It doesn't seem possible. (It passed while I blinked.)⠀
When I returned to work, I was miserable. Long hours, 7 days a week, late shift changes with barely any notice. No appreciation of my hard work and missing so much family time. So I took the plunge and quit my job. I decided that I only have one life so I was going to live it in a way that made me smile instead of cry.
It was a big risk but it was also one I simply had to take.⠀I started my own business.⠀I turned my passions into something which I can share with you all. :)
Will it fail? Will it succeed? Honestly I don't know. But the important thing for me is that I'm giving it a go.⠀(I am determined that I will not reach 50 years old and sit here thinking "what if?"
I survived cancer only to realise later that I was actually just surviving my day to day life.)
I know that I'm lucky. I have this amazing chance and I'm grasping it for all that I am worth.
I'm a part of a wonderful, amazing fibre community and for that I am truly thankful.⠀
Wishing you all happiness, may your dreams always make you smile. xx
