Introducing my newest hand dyed yarn to you, in the beautiful colourway Finding A Way.
It's all about life finding a way. See the flowers pushing their way through the toughest concrete? They're finding a way. That is my inspiration for this fundraising colourway. Everywhere I look, I see the most delicate of flowers finding their own way through the cracks. It amazes and inspires me each and every time.
I lost half of my thyroid and a great big chunk of my health to cancer. If I can give even just a little to the charities that help other patients and their families, then I will be happy. I'll have done my bit. I'll have found my way.
Hand Dyed Yarns are my way. I'm so happy when I'm creating new colours and even more happy when I see what you awesome people have created with them. :)
So it's not just about fundraising, it's about raising a smile too. Place your pre-order today and help me to find a way. I'm also offering a FREE CROCHET TOASTIE TOES SOCK PATTERN to anyone who wants it, who places a pre-order of this colourway. Simply tick the box if you would like the digital pattern emailing to you.
Finding A Way is available on the Cashmere, Merino, Silk blend or on the sock (super wash merino/nylon) blend (both 4 ply.) Please use the drop down box to make your choice before clicking on the pre-order button to purchase.
Thank you for helping me to find a way - your purchase and your support is greatly appreciated.
Sock is just a term used for the yarn base, and it is in fact beautifully soft, and is in no way limited to making socks with! :)
Available on the yarn base of your choice (if your choice of yarn base isn't shown, please message me to place your order.)
All of my yarns are dyed with professional grade light and colour fast acid dyes in a smoke and pet free environment.
Please note that colours may look different on various monitors, tablets and mobile phone screens.
As the yarn is hand dyed, no two skeins will be the same, so it is best to work each row with alternate skeins when working on a larger project. Thank you
Kernow Designs creates beautiful, high quality, hand dyed yarns & hand woven accessories in Rural Cornwall.
I pride myself on top quality products and truly excellent customer service.
I believe in giving nothing but the best, both in customer service, and the items that I create.
You can choose from many different yarn bases, which include the softest Cashmere Merino Silk right through to Pima Cotton and Premium Acrylics for those of you who prefer not to have real wool.
I can hand dye yarn to any colourway you wish, either to send the skein out to you, or to weave a beautiful wrap or scarf for you.
Absolutely stunning colours and most definitely made with love! Highly recommended
I'm Karen, and I'm the creative mind behind Kernow Designs.
I am 47 years old. I took a long career break to raise my young family.⠀Two are now grown & living away from home & one is in college.⠀Another two are in high school.⠀
It doesn't seem possible. (It passed while I blinked.)⠀
When I returned to work, I was miserable. Long hours, 7 days a week, late shift changes with barely any notice. No appreciation of my hard work and missing so much family time. So I took the plunge and quit my job. I decided that I only have one life so I was going to live it in a way that made me smile instead of cry.
It was a big risk but it was also one I simply had to take.⠀I started my own business.⠀I turned my passions into something which I can share with you all. :)
Will it fail? Will it succeed? Honestly I don't know. But the important thing for me is that I'm giving it a go.⠀(I am determined that I will not reach 50 years old and sit here thinking "what if?"
I survived cancer only to realise later that I was actually just surviving my day to day life.)
I know that I'm lucky. I have this amazing chance and I'm grasping it for all that I am worth.
I'm a part of a wonderful, amazing fibre community and for that I am truly thankful.⠀
Wishing you all happiness, may your dreams always make you smile. xx
